Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a tired look, and unfortunately, the rooms were not clean, but that wouldn't stop me from recommending it. The check-in was supposed to be at 2 pm and lacked basics like tea/coffee & kettle that you would expect from a 4-star hotel.
Staying in a room with a canal view was an incredible experience. The staff, from reception to the breakfast room and wine bar, was impeccable. While the room's condition is tired and not up to today's standards, it wouldn't stop me from recommending it.
I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space in our room, which, although not modern, was much bigger than expected for Venice. The size of the room was great for our family, even though it came at a premium, which is typical for Venice. The hotel's location is exceptional, just a minute from San Marco piazza, and the little bar downstairs served delicious appetizers with amazing drinks available for purchase.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were not ideal due to the separate sleeping quarters and uncomfortable single beds, but they did have nice AC, a great breakfast, incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, and an excellent location. The service was a bit of a rollercoaster, with helpful moments like arranging a water taxi but also rude interactions and mishaps like leaving windows open. The location was very good, just a stone's throw away from St Mark's Square, but the room layout lacked privacy. The dining experience offered a good variety of continental options but may not be worth an extra charge. Overall, the hotel had its ups and downs, but it was a decent stay.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, just steps away from St Mark's Square and with amazing views of the Grand Canal. However, the rooms were disappointing with worn-out furniture and tired amenities. The service was a mix of friendliness and unfriendliness, and the dining experience was adequate but not exceptional.
The hotel offers comfortable and stylish rooms, though some are undergoing refurbishment and vary in size. The service is excellent and very helpful, especially with arrangements like water taxi pick-ups. The location is quite good, just two minutes' walk from San Marco place. The dining experience provides a basic but satisfying breakfast. Overall, the hotel boasts friendly staff and a convenient location.
